sneaker is a collaboration between Be & D Creative Director Steve Dumain
and visual artist Trong Gia Nguyen. The original concept is rooted in
Nguyen's body of work, which often employs playful notions of illusion and
consumerism. Dumain and he decided that the idea as an extension of the Be
& D accessories line made perfect sense. Dumain said about the
piece..."often it is the most simple seeming ideas that have more complex
and interesting significance. Trong and I both share the affinity with all
things that can be both serious and fun at the same moment."
